Now Actually there are probably thousands of reasons to quit smoking if you take the time to think of them, but there are two reasons that are more important than the rest.
The first reason to quit is for your health.
A smoker inhales on the cigarette and takes harmful substances into the lungs. The substances harm not only the lungs but all of the organs of the body. Think about the parts of the mouth – the tongue, the teeth, the lips. All of these parts of the body are hurt. This is why everyone should quit smoking. The teeth become yellow as the smoke from the cigarette passes over them on the way toward the lungs. The gums that hold the teeth are also damaged by the harmful ingredients in the smoke inhaled by a smoker.
The second reason, expense.
Calculate the cost to a person that smokes a pack of cigarettes a day. Smoking could cost this person fifteen hundred dollars or more a year for this habit that also ruins the health of the smoker. The heavy cost of cigarettes is why everyone should quit smoking. There are other costs for smokers besides the cigarettes. Smokers have to have their teeth cleaned more often and this is expensive. As noted before, there are probably many reasons why you should quit smoking, but the expense is second only to health. Smokers also have more health problems and these problems can cost more money.
